I Am A Camera
A new blog, with a name coined by writer Christopher Isherwood with double meanings, of course.
His short story "Goodbye to Berlin" was turned into -- the play, "I Am A Camera," which was one of the big hits in Julie Harris's career. And, of course, "I Am A Camera" eventually morphed into a musical called "Cabaret," directed and produced by Hal Prince. And ultimately it became a movie musical, starring -- what's her name?
Almost everyone won a major award in some incarnation of "Goodbye To Berlin"; Hal Prince, Joel Grey, Peg Murray (whom I performed with in Wendy Wasserstein's "Isn't it Romantic"); Julie Harris, and Liza.
